Mission: The MHE Learning System (MHELS) is dedicated to improving lives of people with MHE through collaboration and shared learning.
About MHE Learning System
MHE is a challenging rare disease to navigate. There can be significant variation in how MHE impacts people’s lives - requiring specialized and individualized care.
The MHE Learning System brings people together to share knowledge, questions, and insights to develop a shared understanding and improved outcomes for people with MHE. The MHE Learning System is composed of patients and families, clinicians and researchers, who care about advancing care for MHE patients to ensure people with MHE live the best lives possible.
Every MHE journey is unique and different. As members of the broader MHE community we know there are times where it feels like there are more questions than answers. In sharing what we learn, together, we aspire to provide hope, reassurance, and answers.
Through our shared agreements we agree to:
1. Communicate openly and respectfully.
2. Value diverse perspectives and experiences.
3. Provide a supportive environment for shared learning and growth through our core values of curiosity, respect, inclusion, impact, and empowerment.
4. Assume best intent; discuss issues and challenges constructively without blame or identification of individuals or institutions.
5. Commit to mission (agnostic to the interests of any institution, entity, or individual).
